Rainsford Avenue, Chelmsford
When we first meet the client they had this vision for the rear elevation of their house, although issues with the planners curtailed a few other aspects of the design.
The biggest problem was the brick work due to having to keep the weight of the building down, so the top section is stuck on brick slips.
The 9m patio doors were also a challenge due to the size of the sections of glass and the access, all these problems were resolved.
The finished project has given the client a light and airy 3 storey building, but keeping a lot of the original features such as the panelled doors and deepskirtings and architraves.
